The fort is named after Major General Henry
Knox, and the fort includes a large Rodman cannon, granite construction, enlisted and officer quarters, exhibits, and displays. Also numerous events occur during the year which include Civil War re-enactments, Fort Knox Bay Festival, Penobscot River Festival, and Spirits of Fort Knox. |
