Butte, Montana |
|
|
Butte's history is steeped in mining lore. The skyline is etched with black steel headframes, the structures supporting hoisting sheaves at the top of mine shafts. It's obvious that Butte was once filled with prosperous mining claims. And still, the area is peppered with symbols from the rough and untamed past. Present day Butte's friendly people are hospitable, proud of their past, and eager to welcome visitors to their unique part of America. Butte events include: St. Patrick's Day, Mining Heritage Days, Freedom Festival Celebration, Butte-Silver Bow County Fair, and Butte Heritage Festival. |
