    Part of the Metroplex that includes Dallas and Fort Worth, the city includes a wide variety of cultural attractions and recreational opportunities. Affectionately known as "Cowtown, USA," the area was once a part of major cattle drives and today highlights that part of its history at the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District. Fort Worth is home to numerous cultural attractions and several institutions of higher learning.
