    Santa Barbara is nestled between the Santa Ynez Mountains and the blue Pacific Ocean. The coastal community has long been considered one of California's prime visitor destinations. The University of California, Santa Barbara, is located 12 miles west in Goleta. Santa Barbara area is home to many celebrities and a wide variety of attractions. Annual events include: Hang Gliding and Paragliding Festival, Whale Festival & Week of the Whale, Summer Solstice Celebration, and Old Spanish Days Fiesta.
