Mobile, Alabama

With over 300 years of history, Mobile is one of America's oldest port cities. Six flags have flown over the city and influences from all who have settled in Mobile are evident in the cusine, architecture, and culture. Mobile is considered the home of the Mardi Gras in the United States. Originally brought from France in 1704, Mobile celebrates it's major event two weeks prior to Lent. In addition to the Mardi Gras, Mobile's events include the only NFL sanctioned post-season football games, America's Junior Miss competition, and BayFest brings music to the streets during October.
