Built in the early 1800's to fortify the Pensacola Harbour. It was contructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and is located at the west end of Santa Rosa Island. Along with the old fort the area offers camping, swimming, fishing and other activities, exhibits, a bookstore and a museum.
Pensacola Beach. Visitors Center open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Museum opens 9:30 a.m. 5 p.m. daily through Sept. 8. Tours at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily through Aug. 14.
