Saenger Theatre (1925)

Seats 1794 and is located downtown Pensacola on Palafox Place. The theatre was built during the days of Vaudeville and silent films by New Orleans architect Emile Weil who also built other Saenger Theatres in Mobile, Alabama, Shreveport, Louisiana, and New Orleans. In 1981 it was re-opened after being restored by contributions from the Pensacola Community. It's Spanish and Renaissance architecture makes this historical theatre an elegant show place for Broadway touring shows, contemporary jazz artis, the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra and other shows.
